Well, Ribcage was just ressurrected in my storyline and he's got a brand new much more powerful body than his last one. Also, those are bone spikes growing out of him.

Background Story:
Ribcage was created long ago by the six Dark Titans, the traitorous gods that betrayed Anastasia the All Mother and joined Amanu's quest to recreate the universe in a darker image. When Amanu and the Six Titans were locked away by her in the Realm of Darkness, the titans were sealed within a secret chamber deep underground in the realm. They created Ribcage with what power they could spare while in their bindings with the sole purpose of freeing Lord Amanu from his prison so that they may continue their crusade against Anastasia. Ribcage soon discovered it was impossible for him alone to open the door that leads into the temple where Amanu is sealed so he switched his purpose into a new one. His new purpose was to watch and wait for the other Amanu family members to rebuild themselves within the Realm of Darkness and find the one who would replace Lord Amanu as the Dark One. So he did, he watched and waited within the shadows...

Many upon many of million years later, he finally found a worthy candidate to be Amanu's replacement. Xavier Amanu, the barbaric tyrannical ruler of the Amanu Clan and emperor of the Realm of Darkness. He finally revealed himself from the shadows to speak with Xavier about his family's legacy. It didn't take much convincing for Xavier to agree to a partnership with Ribcage and the two began to work immediately. Xavier was not strong enough to open Amanu's prison either but this didn't stop them, he came up with a scheme that would take hundreds of years to complete but both of them were patient. It began with Xavier and Ribcage both escaping the Realm of Darkness and going their separate ways to begin this plan. The main focus of this plan was to help Xavier Amanu gain immortality while Ribcage's part to play was to gain intelligence on the Realm of Hell. (For now you will only see Ribcage's side of the plan. Xavier's will be uploaded on a future date.)

Ribcage infiltrated Hell and disguised himself to be a creation of Satan, who at the time was the king of the underworld. Eventually once he learned what he needed, he betrayed Satan and took refuge within a temple dedicated to the shadows known as "The Black Temple". He wasn't alone, he had convinced Goliath Marken to betray Satan but the general had no idea of Ribcage's true backstory or the fact he was setting up Goliath for a fall. Many years later Ribcage gained knowledge that Goliath Marken had a son, Jecht Marken. Now Ribcage had to erase Goliath AND Jecht before he could make a move on Satan for the throne of Hell. That became quite difficult when he learned Jecht had disappeared, probably ran away to the mortal universe. That was one problem he'd worry about another time, so it was time to set Goliath up. He allowed Goliath to be captured by Satan's forces and he was quickly executed for treason. After that Ribcage continued preparations for a full scale invasion of Satan and his citadel, Hellfire Citadel.

A few years later; Ribcage was finally contacted by the dark soul of his master Xavier Amanu. It seemed everything was going as planned seeing as Xavier had been reduced to his soul and had been in hiding just as planned. Xavier had discovered something that might prove to be very useful for their plan. Xavier had discovered a young teenager named Maria Amanu, a banished Amanu family member who was living in a jungle dimension and she had the very rare natural talent for combat within her bloodline. Normally people who have that natural talent go on to become powerful warriors. If Ribcage saved her from this realm, he could train her as his apprentice. They agreed and Xavier ripped a portal into the dimension. Ribcage would retrieve her and her training would begin immediately.

However he grew doubtful after a few years of Maria's loyalty and decided to get a new apprentice, Redstreak the Wolf. Together they betrayed Maria and almost killed her. However Maria survived the onslaught and returned just a few short weeks later to gain revenge on them. Or so she thought... Ribcage would escape their battle after nearly being destroyed by her and retreated into the Realm of Darkness to regain his strength. It was now time for the plan to enter its final stages.

Xavier, Ribcage, and Isaac the Dark Messenger (an ancient Earthling who was corrupted by the dark power of Xavier) had finally found the key piece to their plan, the one who could open Amanu's prison. Ram Amanu, the brother to Maria Amanu. Progressing through the plan, despite Isaac being destroyed, Ribcage and Xavier finally combined Ram's soul and essence with Xavier's and placed this dark soul into Xavier's body. Ram Amanu had became the Dark Lord and started the invasion of the mortal universe but they were defeated in the end and forced to retreat back into the Realm of Darkness to heal their wounds and build their forces. Even Ribcage will admit they were all a little too hasty, ignoring Xavier's true plan. He would pay for it by nearly being destroyed by Maria again, his soul shattered into pieces. However his loyal apprentice, Redstreak, managed to hide away one of the shards of Ribcage's soul.

Ribcage's soul and body were repaired within the Reincarnation Pit and now he is training his new body, trying to get used to it as the Dark Lord moves his interest to Amanu's prison. When Ribcage is ready, he and Ram will open the prison to Amanu and take his remaining power. With this power, they will shatter the barrier that separates the Realm of Darkness from the mortal universe.
